    Terms of Service & User Agreement

    1. What is 4 Church?

    4 Church is a religious nonprofit organization and church planting network that works alongside Christian businesses and ministry networks to plant churches in rural communities across North America. Through 4 Church, we provide modern ministry technology, websites, communication systems, and software tools to local churches, church planters, and ministry networks. 4 Church partners with Faithson Solutions to engineer, host, and deliver our software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, apps, and digital services.

    2. Definitions

    • Account: The church, association, ministry network, or legal entity subscribing to any 4 Church service or platform.
    • Account Owner: The authorized pastor, elder, staff member, or administrator who manages the subscription on behalf of the Account.
    • End User: Any staff member, volunteer, congregant, or church member who accesses or uses the services through an Account.
    • Attendee: Any person who registers for an event, webinar, conference, or community group through the platform.
    • 4 Church: 4 Church, together with its partners including Faithson Solutions and affiliated ministry brands.
    • Services: All websites, software, AI tools, mobile applications, media storage, databases, APIs, printing services, and features provided by 4 Church.
    • Visitor / You / Your: Anyone who visits, browses, or interacts with our websites or platform.

    3. Using Our Services & Licensing

    End User License

    4 Church grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, freely revocable license to access and use the Services for personal, ministry, or authorized church purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may view, listen to, and utilize media and content provided through the platform, but you may not distribute, sublicense, resell, or exploit access for unauthorized third parties.

    Account License

    Upon registration and subscription, 4 Church grants the Account the right and license to provide access to its staff, volunteers, and congregants based on the acquired partnership plan. Aside from this limited license, the Account acquires no ownership rights or intellectual property in any 4 Church software code, proprietary systems, or platform designs.

    User Submissions & Feedback

    You may upload or display content, ideas, opinions, graphics, sermon media, and feedback on or through the Services ("Submissions"). Any feedback, feature requests, or suggestions regarding the platform become the exclusive property of 4 Church, and you grant 4 Church an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use such suggestions. You represent and warrant that you hold all necessary rights and licenses for any media, music, or sermon text you upload.

    Age Requirements

    4 Church does not permit children under the age of 13 to register for an account without verified parental involvement and consent. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you may only use the Services with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

    Creative License & Authority for Ministry Partners

    By partnering with 4 Church at the Ministry Partner level or above, the Account grants 4 Church and its authorized designers, developers, and ministry staff full creative license and authority to edit, modify, update, redesign, and change website copy, layout, imagery, branding elements, and overall design as we see fit. This includes, but is not limited to, revising text content, restructuring pages, adjusting visual styling, adding or removing features, and refreshing the look and feel of the website to maintain quality, consistency, and ministry effectiveness. 4 Church exercises this creative authority at its sole discretion to ensure every partner site reflects current best practices, brand standards, and the shared mission of planting and strengthening churches. The Account acknowledges and agrees that such editorial and design changes are a standard, expected part of the partnership and do not require separate approval for each modification.

    4. Rules of Conduct & Community Guidelines

    When using 4 Church, you agree that you will NOT:

    • Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or transfer platform access to unauthorized third parties outside your church or organization.
    • Post, upload, publish, or transmit any material that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, abusive, harmful, or infringes on third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.
    • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, crawl, disrupt, or bypass the security or delivery infrastructure of 4 Church.
    • Interfere with or compromise the security, availability, or integrity of the Services.
    • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a church or organization.
    • Send unsolicited bulk SMS, email spam, or engage in abusive marketing practices in violation of federal and state telecommunications regulations.

    5. Subscription Terms & Auto-Renewal

    Initial Purchase & Billing

    By subscribing to a 4 Church partnership level (such as Simple Sites / Network Partner, Ministry Partner, Mission Partner, Kingdom Partner, or VIP), the Account agrees to pay all applicable subscription fees and taxes. Subscription options and recurring amounts are clearly presented prior to transaction processing.

    Automatic Renewal

    Subscriptions automatically renew on a recurring monthly or annual basis. You authorize 4 Church and its third-party payment processors to charge your stored payment method (credit card, ACH debit, or electronic transfer) at the start of each renewal billing cycle until properly canceled.

    6. Refund & Cancellation Policy

    7-Day Free Trial: New accounts may be canceled during the 7-day free trial without charge. If you cancel prior to the expiration of the trial period, your payment method will not be billed.

    30-Day Cancellation Notice: To cancel your partnership with Faithson Solutions and 4 Church, a thirty (30) day cancellation notice is required. At the time of cancellation, you may be charged for the next thirty days. You understand that by submitting this request, you are asking 4 Church to unpublish your website and terminate your subscriptions. You acknowledge that you have 72 hours to transfer your domain after receiving the authorization codes. After this period, 4 Church will no longer have the ability to maintain the domain. You acknowledge that when you submit your offboarding form, it is your 30-day notice to cancel service, and you will be billed one more time. You will lose access to all services, including your website, data, and domain, immediately following your off-boarding.

    Required Method of Cancellation: You must submit your cancellation through the software and online portal you used to sign up — inside your account under Settings & Billing, or at https://www.faithson.com/offboarding. Email, SMS, telephone calls, or casual conversations are not considered valid cancellations of your account.

    No Long-Term Contracts: We do not enforce annual lock-in contracts for standard SaaS plans. When you use our SaaS, you are opting into these Terms of Service and may opt out at any time by canceling your partnership in accordance with these procedures.

    Discretionary Termination by Faithson: Faithson Solutions and 4 Church may, at their sole discretion, terminate your partnership if a false gospel is presented online, or if your church or organization's actions hinder our core values as a Christian company.

    7. Charitable Contributions & CP Giving

    When you make charitable gifts, donations, or Cooperative Program contributions through 4 Church or its giving integrations, transactions are processed securely through regulated financial partners. Contributions are treated as completed and irrevocable at the time of submission, except where applicable laws or technical errors dictate adjustments.

    8. Data Privacy & Mobile Communications

    Your privacy and the security of your congregation's information are sacred to us. We handle personal data in accordance with our comprehensive Privacy Policy:

    • No Sale of Personal Data: 4 Church never sells member or church data.
    • Mobile Phone & SMS Consent Protection: 4 Church will never share, sell, or rent any mobile phone number, SMS consent, or opt-in information with any third party for marketing purposes.
    • Third-Party Processors: We partner with trusted infrastructure, hosting, telephony, and payment partners solely for the purpose of operating and delivering our Services under confidentiality agreements.

    Account Information Confidentiality

    4 Church cannot and will not communicate, disclose, or transfer any account details, login credentials, billing information, member data, or subscription records to any person who is not a registered, authorized account user. If you need to grant access to an additional staff member or administrator, they must be properly added as a user within your account. Requests for account information from unregistered individuals — including church members, volunteers, or third parties — will be declined to protect the security and integrity of your account.

    9. Intellectual Property & Trademarks

    All software, platform designs, text, graphics, logos, illustrations, database structures, "look and feel", and arrangements ("4 Church IP") are the proprietary property of 4 Church, Faithson Solutions, or their licensors, with all rights reserved. Marks including "4 Church", "Sermon Sync™", "Calendar Sync™", and related logos are trademarks of 4 Church. You may not copy, frame, modify, create derivative works from, or distribute any 4 Church IP without prior written consent.

    10. Generative AI Policy

    As 4 Church equips ministries with cutting-edge tools including AI Studio and AI Agents, we maintain strict standards to protect ministry integrity and intellectual property:

    • You are prohibited from inputting or uploading confidential internal platform architecture, system code, or proprietary algorithms of 4 Church into unauthorized external generative AI tools.
    • AI-generated answers or statements produced by public third-party tools regarding 4 Church's internal technology, pricing, or doctrine are unauthorized and unverified. Do not rely on third-party generative AI tools for official contractual determinations.
    • 4 Church shall not be held liable for statements, claims, or errors produced by external third-party AI models referencing 4 Church.

    11. Bible Translations & Copyrights

    Scripture texts and translations displayed within our apps or websites (via Logos Bible Software, RefTagger, Crossway, Holman Christian Standard Bible / CSB, and other publishers) are copyrighted works owned by their respective publishers. Users and visitors are responsible for adhering to publisher copyright citation guidelines when quoting or publishing scripture passages.

    12. DMCA & Copyright Infringement Notice

    If you believe any content on the 4 Church platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)) containing:

    • A description of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
    • The specific location (URL or description) of the infringing material on our platform.
    • Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email).
    • A statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized.
    • A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

    13. Warranty Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

    THE SERVICES AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

    IN NO EVENT SHALL 4 CHURCH, FAITHSON SOLUTIONS, OR THEIR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR MINISTRY DOWNTIME), EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

    TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF 4 CHURCH FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU TO 4 CHURCH IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

    14. Indemnification

    You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless 4 Church, Faithson Solutions, their parent entities, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms, your use of the Services, or any content or media you upload to the platform.

    15. Dispute Resolution; Binding Individual Arbitration; Class Action Waiver

    Informal Resolution: If a dispute arises between you and 4 Church, we encourage you to first contact us directly at friends@4.church so we can seek an amicable, faith-informed resolution.

    Binding Arbitration: Any unresolved controversy, claim, or dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Services shall be settled by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, rather than in court.

    Class Action & Jury Trial Waiver: YOU AND 4 CHURCH AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. YOU AND 4 CHURCH EXPRESSLY WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY.

    Governing Law: These Terms and any dispute arising out of them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oklahoma and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
